Information on Joining The City
The City is an online and mobile-friendly application that promotes connectivity among church members. It features an ongoing feed of SBC news, upcoming event, prayer requests, life celebrations, and other activities across your Church home. It also serves as a direct connection to existing ministries you may currently serve in, and those you may be interested in learning more about. The City application is available on both Android and iOS/Apple devices, and also features a robust website for you to engage with the congregation. Membership requests to join The City must be of age 18 and older. After you click the link below, you will be directed to a page that requests your name, email address and telephone number. * If you currently have an email address registered with Springfield, please use this same email account to register for The City.
After submitting this information, you will receive an email of welcome from Springfield Baptist Church/The City, inviting you to create a username and password for membership. You are now ready to Connect with SBC on The City!
A Baby Blessing is the act of giving back to God the gift God has given to parents. It is an act of worship, thanksgiving, dependence, trust and commitment. The practice of baby blessing has been modeled throughout the Bible. For example, Hannah brought her long-awaited son Samuel to the priest Eli to dedicate him to the Lord (1 Samuel 1:24-28). Mary and Joseph brought baby Jesus to the temple for His dedication (Luke 2:22-24).
Baby blessings are a commitment from Parents to raise their children by modeling Godly principles with the desire that one day they will receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
Baby Blessings are typically held 2nd Sundays during the 11:00 a.m. Service in the Worship Center
To submit your request for a Baby Blessing, you Must first join “The City”—Springfield’s communication tool for Members. To join The City, click here.

Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist.
—Matthew 3:13; Mark 1:9; Luke 3:23
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward spiritual change that takes place when a person receives the free gift of salvation. The Bible tells us we don’t get baptized to get saved. Rather, we are baptized because of our relationship with the One who died so we can have eternal life. It is therefore extremely important that baptism occurs after a person has made a conscious decision to repent of their sins and profess their faith in Jesus Christ. Baptisms are held every 1st Sunday during the 11am Service in the Worship Center.
